About The Author

Patricia Appiah

Patricia Appiah writes the way she lives: honestly, compassionately, and with her faith at the center.

Her story is shaped by loss, caregiving, ministry, and the daily work of parenting a child with special needs. Her marriage to her late husband was a neurodiverse relationship, one in which their minds worked in very different ways. For a long time, they tried to follow the typical rules of marriage. The harder they tried, the more exhausting and confusing it became.

Out of those lessons came The Not-So-Typical Marriage, written so other couples can know what Patricia learned the hard way: a marriage that looks different is not a broken one.

What Patricia Does

Through her books, coaching, and speaking, Patricia equips individuals and families to navigate trauma, neurodivergence, grief, emotional healing, and spiritual growth with practical, faith-filled guidance. She turns hard-earned lessons into hope and actionable strategies, helping people break unhealthy cycles, embrace resilience, and flourish in the life God has called them to live, with courage, purpose, and unwavering faith.
